About the Counsellor

Apeksha Supekar, a certified Level I Genetic Counsellor by the Board of Genetic Counselling India, holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Genetics with a specialization in Genetic Counselling from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, earning a silver medal. Her Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from D.Y.Patil Institute, Pune, awarded her a gold medal. Before joining Lifecell, she served as a genome analyst at Redcliffe Pvt Ltd and a genetic counsellor at Mapmygenome Pvt Ltd. Apeksha completed a 6-month genetic counselling observer-ship at Lifecell Pvt Ltd in 2021. Proficient in English, Hindi, and Marathi, she holds expertise in counselling various cases associated with prenatal, postnatal, and adult-onset genetic diseases, such as positive prenatal screening tests, infertility, and recurrent spontaneous abortions. Overseeing cases in the Central region, including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Nagpur, she has counselled over 250-300 cases, accumulating a total of two years of extensive work experience.
